10 cases of typical faults of notebook computers
Fault Case 1:
COMPAQ 1800 can not enter the OS when it¡¯s start up, just alarms and it sounds like ¡°Didi¡±. In this case, open the memory slot, replacing memory, troubleshooting.
Fault Case 2:
SONY GR250 boot in DOS mode, there are blue color cross-stripes. After entering Windows2000 System failure remains the same, external CRT and LCD monitors display the same phenomenon. And often crash. At this case, unplug the graphics board and re-inserted (this model graphics board and the board is separate from the slot through the cellular connection), forced the board pressed uniform, troubleshooting. This phenomenon is caused by poor contact Huaping cards, laptops for this phenomenon is usually needed to do the display chip BGA soldering.
Fault Case 3:
When the COMPAQ N800V is running for some time, the system automatically re-starting again, touch the bottom of the laptop, it¡¯s hot. Open the machine inside and power-examination, CPU fan is turning, but it¡¯s slower than usual, it¡¯s high temperature if you touch the U radiator when your laptop enter the Operation System, and the fan is still very slow. Slow fan speed can not be promptly put the heat emitted, leading to CPU temperature is too high and repeated re-starting. Replace the CPU fan troubleshooting.
Failure Case 4:
Press the SONY GRX700 power switch but nothing happens, insert the power adapter, the battery charge indicator light do not response. Disassemble and measuring DC-DC voltage and they are normal, the boot voltage is 3V, To-ground voltage is 0V. This case can be judged as BIOS protection fault, it need to unplug the BIOS backup battery, shorted connect the two pins for 1 ~ 3 seconds. And then install the backup battery, start testing, troubleshooting.

Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop review
The inspiron 1300 is a customizable laptop that's built to order, so the price and features will depend on what you pick when you buy. I asked some of my friends what they think of this laptop, and they said that this notebook is "ugly". You can make up your own mind from the pictures. But, I disagree with them. The silver accent around the keyboard contrasts greatly with the black plastic casing, and although I would have preferred a metal case, it does the job.
The Inspiron 1300 is a widescreen notebook that uses a WXGA resolution (1280 x 800). The screen is a matte finish and there is no option for the popular glossy high-contrast display finish that Dell calls "TrueLife". The screen brightness is middling, it's certainly not as bright and glorious as the Dell Inspiron 700m or the Dell XPS M140 I've reviewed in the past. When on AC power the screen is bright enouggh, but when you switch to battery it becomes too dim -- you can adjust your display and power settings to force the screen to be brighter when on battery but at the cost of shorter battery life. Overall, the text and images are sharp and the matte screen means you won't get a bunch of reflection on the screen that can become distracting.

Glimmer Of Hope At The Bleak Year For PC Sector
2009, all PC sales figures show that it's a bleak year£¬but there are several economic indicators that suggest demand will be rising late this year, particularly in China. Consumers are no longer interested in desktop models, but laptop sales are growing at a healthy clip. The relatively new category of cheap, lightweight laptops, however, is growing fast. It means that demand of some relatively products around laptop like laptop batteries, laptop battery chargers, adapters will be rising at Asia, especially at China.
Worldwide PC manufacturer's sales achievement will fall on a year-over-year basis for the first time in nearly a decade, but according to research firm iSuppli, all signs still point to a late-year tech sector recovery.Shipments will fall to 287.3 million units, about 4 percent decline from 2008 sales, the firm predicted.
All though under this bad condition, yet some economic figures, including relatively robust second-quarter earnings by chipmaker Intel and rising demand among Asian, particularly Chinese, consumers, suggest recovery is still in the offing. Meantime, many laptop battery and battery charger manufacturers are launched at China and are growing like gangbusters. Some latest model, replacement for the original one, like dell mini 9 battery, dell e6400 battery, dell xps m1330 battery, hp mini 1000 battery, it's likely that come out as soon as the original battery come out. Some hot sell models like compaq r3000 battery, dell 1505 battery had be sold to all the corner of the world.
The recovery is likely to be consumer-driven, and will be dominated by the sales of increasingly inexpensive laptops and netbooks prized by consumers for their low-cost and portability, said Matthew Wilkins, research director of iSuppli."Consumers are looking at what has the best bang for the buck, and notebooks are where that's at right now," he said.

HP Compaq Presario R3000 laptop review
HP Compaq Presario R3000 laptop
Compaq R3000 line of Pentium 4 laptop is a solid performer with good looks and good features. Its minimalist styling is both sleek and functional while lacking some of the bells and whistles of other multimedia friendly competitors.
Spec data:1.6-GHz Athlon XP-M 3000, 256MB DDR SDRAM, 40GB (4,200-rpm hard drive, 15.4-inch (1,280 x 800) display, 802.11b wireless, 7.9-pound system weight (9.5-pound travel weight), nVidia GeForce 4 420 Go graphics, DVD/CD-RW combo drive, three USB 2.0 ports, Windows XP Home

HP Compaq R3000 battery & Hp pavilion zv5000 battery
Supported by Compaqs one-year limited hardware warranty, the R3000 series offers many configuration options and add-ons. With integrated ATI Radeon 9000 graphics and integrated Broadcom 54G wireless, the R3000 is well-suited for the mobile professional or student who doesnt mind lugging around eight pounds, and the casual gamer who doesnt need the highest settings in the latest games. Its powerful JBL Pro speakers, DVD and CDR/W combo drive and 15.4-inch screen make this an excellent choice for multimedia use as well.
At over eight pounds it certainly isnt the most portable laptop available, but the weight compares favorably to competing products. If youre looking for a sturdy laptop that is somewhere between ultra-portable and a desktop replacement, Compaqs R3000 line, while not being flashy or innovative, is a good choice.
If youre looking for a bargain basement system to ease the back-to-school burden but dont want to sacrifice multimedia features, then this HP Compaq Presario R3000 could be the right notebook for you.

Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Launched !
Dell is trying best to improve on its earlier netbook offering, the Inspiron Mini 9, with the new Dell Inspiron Mini 10. With an interesting beginning by Dell, the Mini 10 debut on the QVC shopping network; the unit was available for sale at Dell.com starting on February 26.
The inspiron Mini 10 packs a slew of features. Most important, the 2.9-pound unit packs a keyboard that is 92 percent of full size; its roomy design and comfortable keys rectify one of the biggest drawbacks of the Inspiron Mini 9 (which still managed to capture fifth place in last month¡¯s Top 5 Netbooks chart). The Mini 10 also has a 10.1-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a touchpad that supports multitouch gestures.
Most intriguingly, the unit has an HDMI port onboard¨Ca curious inclusion whose benefits are limited unless you plan on getting high-definition video onto the Mini 10¡¯s 160GB hard disk drive. Dell says that optional features due later this year will include an internal ATSC digital TV tuner and what it vaguely calls ¡°high-def resolution¡±¨Cboth of which could make the availability of HDMI much more interesting.
Another interesting note: Dell has chosen to offer the inspiron Mini 10 in an array of six colors: black, white, red, pink, blue, and green.
Dell¡¯s initial press release doesn¡¯t list all of the core specs and pricing. The press release does note some basics: The Mini 10 comes with 1GB of RAM standard (Dell says that 2GB will be an option later this year), Windows XP, Wi-Fi, and a Webcam. Other expected options are Ubuntu Linux and Windows Vista operating systems, 120GB and 250GB hard-disk drives, solid-state drives, Bluetooth, wireless WAN, and an internal GPS.

How to get a cheap 6-cell Acer aspire one battery?
With its bargain-basement price, the Aspire One looks like a steal¨Cuntil you realize you need the six-cell Acer aspire one battery. The sizes and prices of models in the mini-notebooks category continue to escalate, but the Aspire One comes in at just $349. That¡¯s less than the next-lowest-priced XP-based model, the Lenovo IdeaPad S10. Acer¡¯s well-constructed, elegant entry measures 9.8 by 6.7 by 1.1 inches, roughly the same size as the IdeaPad S10. It¡¯s significantly lighter than the S10, though, at 2.3 pounds versus 3.6 pounds.
The Windows-based Aspire One did easily outpace HP 2133 that Via C-7M CPU led it to an anemic 26; but it fell well short of the Lenovo S10¡¯s surprising 41.
Even worse, the Aspire One¡¯s three-cell battery lasted for just 2 hours, 16 minutes. A 6-cell acer aspire battery costs an extra $100, which negates the Aspire One¡¯s price advantage.
Despite these shortcomings, the Aspire One is a fine little machine. If you need a 6-cell battery, a replacement aspire one battery may be a better choice. But Acer¡¯s Aspire One is one of the best category bargains around. Just stay near a power outlet or invest in the extra six-cell battery.

The flagship laptop, the XPS M1330, garnered a lot of press coverage. The launch coincided with a revamping of Dell's marketing efforts in an attempt to lose the 'beige-box' manufacturer cachet and move more upstream by making the brand more appealing to a wider demographic.
The Dell XPS M1330 is designed for those that want power on the go. If you're also fashion conscious and like to standout in a crowd, the looks of the XPS M1330 will help you in that area too.
