Hi Arshak,

I don’t think acquisition of OutlookSoft was SAPs answer to Oracle’s acquisition of Hyperion. The move might be driven by the fact that SAP as an organization wants to showcase their focus on BI/BPM space and OutlookSoft was slightly popular with existing SAP users.

Otherwise neither it has any major technology or market advantage for SAP nor will it be able to deliver promises made to CFOs as per their Press Release.
