Frontiers of Interaction III: the internet of people.
Frontiers of Interaction is a free conference/seminar created by Matteo Penzo and Leandro Agrò that offered very good food for hungry brains: sharing knowledges and experiences in the fantastic world of interaction design. This year the focus of the conference was on the "Internet of Things and, to me, the event have been the real expression of the "Internet of People ( more than just the "Internet of Things ), because a lot of contributors ( from speakers to helpers to audience ) shared ideas, visions, efforts and experiences creating good feeling to be part of a real human community. These relationships among people ( mostly generated through Internet tools ) are always growing up reaching interesting results in terms of approaching to future challenges, both professional and social. In terms of contents, speakers at "Le Frontiere ( the Italian shortname we use for "Frontiers of Interaction ) presented short, clear and also funny talks different points about emerging research and working fields into the interaction design: from networked handheld device ecosystems to networked rabbits or from touchless interfaces to secondlife scenarios. For infovis people, I think that the most interesting aspectes could be related into the exploration of new way to understand and to represent relationships among humans and things bearing in mind of simplicty, mobile, natural interaction and physical computing, maybe investigating new tools such as the nabaztag.
