wii, the long tail, physical computing and infovis
The events, facts, relations and conseguences of the economical and social aspects described by Andersonss Long Tail book gave me a richer vision about the role that infovis solutions and physical computing could play in next years to let users be closer to the contents they like.
Some other times we spoke about physical computing and infovis discovering the power of generate information through physicial data exploration.
For example...
Wii ( the new game-console by Nintendo ) offers a natural and easy interface and interaction among users and contents, even if most of them are concentrated on entertainment.
Now the point is that infovis solutions and physical computing ( together to an appropriate and rich User Experience ) could be strong tools on which generate innovative, new, personalized, shared, digital contents distribution platform.
Maybe Wii is just a small step ahead in this direction.
